General Continuing Education Requirements for all states
Continuing Education - Generally, real estate continuing education is required every 1 to 4 years, depending on your state.
Post License Courses* - Many states are now requiring new licensees to take a separate set of continuing education courses, often to be completed within the first year or two of getting your real estate license (1st time renewal).
Currently you may take online online continuing education real estate courses in most states. The continuing education classes included here are approved to satisfy state real estate continuing education requirements.

* Virginia requires first time renewals to take Virginia post-license real estate education. One must take 30 hours for this Virginia real estate license renewal. After the first renewal, real estate agents take the 16 hours of VA real estate continuing education.
