Continuing Education Requirements

North Carolina real estate agents must complete 8 hours of approved continuing education every year to renew a real estate license.

Of the 8 hours required for renewal, you must obtain three hours credit in each of the following subjects:

• 4 hours of CE must include the mandatory update course provided by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission
• The other 4 hours are elective courses
• Sales agents must renew on June 30th every year, and all Continuing Education for distance education courses must be completed by June 15th
