Continuing Education Requirements

Missouri real estate agents must complete 12 hours of approved continuing education every two years to renew a real estate license.

• These courses must include 3 hours of Mandatory courses chosen from:
  • Missouri Laws Governing the Transfer of Real Property,
  • Broker Supervision and Escrow Account Management,
  • Fair Housing,
  • Commercial Brokerage, and
  • Property Management.
• The other 9 hours are elective courses
• Continuing education courses require that you pass a course final exam with a grade of at least 70%
• Broker licensees renew in every even-numbered year by June 30th.
• Salesperson licensees renew in every even-numbered year by September 30th.
  

Missouri Real Estate Statues, Rules, and Regulations Chapter 339 4 CSR 250-6.040 (1) states that, in any given calendar day, no course(s) shall exceed eight (8) hours in length.
