Pennsylvania Real Estate License Requirements

These are the educational requirements to become a Pennsylvania real estate agent. You must be at least 18 years old.

• Complete the 60 hours of Pennsylvania state approved prelicense courses - Real Estate Fundamentals and Real Estate Practice. A passing score on the proctored final course exam of 70 is required. This qualifies you to take the state exam.

Pennsylvania Real Estate Broker License

• Must be 21 years of age
• Must be a high school graduate or shall produce proof satisfactory to the commission of an education equivalent thereto.
• Have successfully completed 240 hours in real estate instruction as prescribed by the rules of the commission.
• Pass an end of course proctored final examination with a score of 70%
• Have been engaged as a licensed real estate salesperson for at least three years or possess educational or experience qualifications which the commission deems to be the equivalent thereof.
• Pass the state broker licensing examination with a score of 70%
