Washington Real Estate License Requirements

These are the state requirements to become a Washington real estate agent (called a "broker").  To be licensed as a real estate broker, you must:

• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Successfully complete 90 hours of approved real estate education within 2 years before applying for the exam.
• Pass the Washington Broker's examination. Those who pass the exam will receive information on how to apply for a license. Results are valid for one year from the date of passing the examination.
• Complete and submit the Broker Application with the appropriate fee.
