Iowa Real Estate License Requirements

Every candidate for a real estate salesperson must complete a course in the principles of real estate of not less than 60 hours of classroom or correspondence or other distance learning instruction.
Iowa pre-licensing education courses require a final exam to be taken at the end of the course of education.
After you pass your course, your school will issue you a completion certificate and and send you information on registering for your licensing exam with PSI, the licensing test administrator.
Please note: The state regulator in Iowa requires that all courses be completed within 6 months of the date of purchase. Courses completed after 6 months will not be eligible for a certificate of completion

(12HRS) Ownership, Encumbrances, Legal Descriptions, Transfer of Title and Closing
(12HRS) Contracts, Agency and Antitrust
(12HRS) Valuation, Finance and Real Estate Math
(12HRS) Property Management/Leasing, Fair Housing, Environmental Risks, and Health Issues
