Georgia Real Estate License Requirements

• 18 years old, High School Diploma,
• Complete the 75 hour Georgia state approved prelicense course,
• Pass a course final exam (grade of 75 to pass) and pass the state exam (grade of 75 to pass).

Georgia Real Estate Broker License

If you already have a real estate license in Georgia, you may now take an online course to obtain your Georgia Broker License. The online Georgia Broker license requires that you have been an active Georgia real estate agent for 3 years. Then you may take the 60 hour online real estate broker course to get your Georgia license as a real estate broker.

Georgia Real Estate Continuing Education

• Georgia real estate agents must complete 24 hours of state approved elective courses every 4 years. This is based on the state requirement of six hours for each year of the renewal period. You may take all of the hours in one approved courses or in several approved courses. See License Law 43-40-8 (d) and Rule 520-2-.07.
• Note : Salespersons who complete the 25 hour post license course in their first year of licensure may count that course as meeting only 6 hours of the CE requirement for the first renewal period. In the succeeding 3 years of their first renewal period, such salespersons must complete an additional 18 hours of CE courses in order to renew their licenses. (Georgia Real Estate License Law and Rules and Regulations, Chapter 520-2-.07(7).)
• Salespersons and Brokers renew their license every 4 years in the month of their birth
  

Sign up for Georgia real estate continuing education courses. These online courses are state approved to satisfy the 24 hours of required continuing education. You may take the 24 hour course or individual courses to meet your requirement.

Georgia Real Estate Post-License Education

During the first 12 months of licensure, you must take an additional 25 hours of approved Georgia real estate Post-License courses.. Failure to complete a postlicense course during the first year of being licensed will cause the license to lapse.
