Continuing Education Requirements

South Carolina real estate agents must complete 8 hours of approved continuing education every two years to renew a real estate license.

• The eight hours shall include a minimum of two hours of instruction in current federal
  and state law affecting brokers and sales agents.
• The following are exempt from the biennial continuing education:
  • a broker or sales agent who successfully completes a post-licensing course is
    exempt for the period during which the course was taken.
