Illinois Real Estate License Requirements

These are the Illinois real estate license requirements to become an Illinois real estate salesperson.

• 45 hours of instruction in approved courses
  • minimum of 15 of these hours must be in the areas of Article 15 of the Act (agency), disclosure and environmental issues, or any other current topic as determined by the Education Advisory Council
    
• be at least 21 years old and be a high school graduate or equivalent (G.E.D.)
  
• certification of a passing score on the exam and be sponsored by a licensed broker in Illinois
